InterInnov was selected to participate into a Business Tour organized by the European project DragonStar Plus, in the context of the 2016 China High-Tech Fair (CHTF) held in Shenzhen on November 16-21, 2016. DragonStar Plus is a H2020 project funded by the European Commission, aiming to facilitate policy dialogue and bilateral collaboration between EU and China.
Each year, CHTF is co-hosted in Shenzhen by Ministries and Commissions of the national government and Shenzhen Municipal People’s Government. Currently, it is the largest and the most influential scientific and technological fair in China and is renowned as “the No. 1 Technology Show in China”. Latest editions gathered nearly 3.000 exhibitors from more than 50 counties and over 500.000 visitors attended.
CHTF focuses on advanced technologies and products in fields like energy, environment, information technologies, biology, manufacture of high-end equipment, materials, etc.
After several years of existence, it has become an important window for the external opening of China’s high-tech sectors and it is playing an important role in commercialization, industrialization and internationalization of high-tech achievements as well as promotion of economic and technological exchanges and cooperation between different countries and regions.
In this context, InterInnov represented the 5G PPP and more especially European SMEs with skills and expertise in 5G, as well as FIWARE Mundus, the FIWARE activities dedicated to international cooperation on Future Internet. The objective was to attract potential partners from China with technological expertise in telecommunications and their applications, and willing to cooperate with European organisations, whether SME, industry and academia, in the domains of 5G and IoT in particular. InterInnov represented two projects, namely FI-GLOBAL and EXCITING.
DragonStar Plus had a booth at the exhibition, allowing visits of interested people. We distributed many 5G and FIWARE brochures, as well as the first EXCITING leaflet.
